Reena Trivedi is a Level II, Board Certified Genetic Counselor. She is certified by the Board of Genetic Counseling, India. (BGCI)

Reena has experience in counseling of patients afflicted with rare diseases which include neurodegenerative disorders, haemoglobinopathies, cardiogenetic disorders, inherited cancer syndromes, inborn errors of metabolism and autism spectrum disorders. She is interested in both pediatric and adult onset genetic disorders. Psychosocial counseling and risk assessment of family members of affected individuals is of special interest to her. Her compassion and empathy help her connect with her counselees. 

She has knowledge about working of national and international diagnostic companies. Her experience has been gained in a range of clinical settings, including hospitals and specialized genetic clinics. She is well-versed in interpreting complex genetic data, and able to communicate this information in a clear and understandable way to patients and their families. She helps them take informed decisions which might help in ending their diagnostic odyssey. Ms. Reena Trivedi is committed to staying up-to-date with the latest advances in genetics and genetic counseling. She regularly attends conferences and training sessions to enhance her skills and knowledge, and is an active member of several professional organizations in the field. 

Reena is a freelance genetic counselor attached with several hospitals and voluntary organizations in Gujarat. As a pioneer of genetic counseling in Gujarat, Reena has been single handedly trying to raise awareness about the importance of genetic counseling in the firmament of rare disorders. She feels awareness and education at the grass root level are the only ways the burden of genetic disorders can be reduced in a country like ours.
